Lucia Mar Summer Institute 2019 has ended
Welcome to Lucia Mar’s 2019 Summer Institute! Please stop by room 132 daily to pick up your timesheet.  Be sure to sign into each session you attend!  Room 132 is also the Q&A room, as well as the place you’ll go to checkout a Chromebook if you need one.
When attending most sessions, certificated employees can choose between pay, at $27.75/hour OR salary credit+pay, at $18.50/hour plus one unit for every 15 hours of attendance. The daily collaboration sessions are for pay only.

This is the day one training for implementing Thinking Maps in ANY classroom! Thinking Maps are a brilliant way to to teach kids to think and to engage with content in a creative and critical way. Focused on the 8 cognitive skills we most often ask students to perform at every grade level and in every content area, Thinking Maps are a research- proven way to teach that is based on brain-science! New-to-LMUSDTK-8th grade teachers are required to attend either this training, or the the one offered the week of 8/26 (date TBD). Teachers will need a sub if they choose to attend the one after school starts.
